CURATION

Display case with historical documents, photographs, and books showcased inside Hillman Library's gallery.

I am trained in curating exhibit collections related to gender studies and climate justice. The exhibit above titled “A Century of Mobilizing for Reproductive Care” was co-curated with my colleagues at University of Pittsburgh. A library guide related to the exhibit can be found here. My own reflection about curating the exhibit is published at the Medium Platform of DHARTI.

VIDEO PROJECT

Thumbnail images of four videos, each with titles and descriptions related to life stories of Indian Sundarbans women and environmental themes in Bali, including landscapes, mangroves, and rural scenes.

I am committed to multimodal scholarship on climate justice. I had the opportunity to serve as a research assistant to Barnamala Roy for a project on that assessed the impact of climate change on women’s health in Sundarbans. I assisted with fieldwork, interviews and visual documentation. The project can be found on Barnamala Roy’s Vimeo page.

PUBLIC WRITING

Screenshot of an academic article or report with the titles: 'Teaching With Digital Archives in the First-Year Writing Classroom,' 'Sharing Your Own Writing With Students,' and 'Assessing Students’ Participation,' along with their respective publication dates.

Over the years, I have developed my craft to write for various kinds of public audiences on topics that include pedagogy, environmental humanities and higher education.

Some of my earlier writings on pedagogy can be found here. My select public writings on environmental humanities are available for reading here and here.

More new work is on the way!

And, I have a blog.
