I am an interdisciplinary scholar and educator of Indian Ocean Studies, Postcolonial Literature, South Asian Literatures, Environmental Humanities, Gender Studies and Writing Pedagogy.

Currently, I am a doctoral candidate in the Department of English, University of Pittsburgh. My research and teaching in literature and humanities are informed by a commitment to the imaginative and resistant possibilities of narratives.

I am at the final stages of finishing up my doctoral project titled, “Ordinary Environments and Aesthetics in Contemporary Indian Ocean Archipelagic Writing.” I also serve as a Writing Tutor for the federally funded TRIO-McNair Scholars Program at University of Pittsburgh, where I work with low-income, first-generation and underrepresented students to support and mentor them in their writing journeys.

This website is a portfolio of my research, teaching and public humanities work.
